How to Get More New Clients, Without Spending a Fortune on Advertising and Without Wasting Your Valuable Time Marketing to “Tyre Kickers”

This method is one every business owner knows about but very few know how to do well . . . . .

How to get more clients and customers can be a time consuming and costly task for any company or small business. Many large companies have enormous advertising budgets and the reason why is it gets them results.

Most small businesses don’t have this luxury and as consequence they have to revert to other means to keep a constant flow of new clients. Local advertising, building networking alliances and relying on referrals from satisfied customers are all methods that work but can also eat into your time and budget.

Therefore I’d like to introduce to another method of how to get more new clients and customers that is very cost effective and has the ability to target customers and clients that are actively searching for exactly what you are selling and it’s called . . . . .

the Small Business Blog . . . . .

and reason why it is such a great tool for sending loads and loads of customers and clients to your business can best be summed up with the following statement which I recently found on a business blog . . . . . .

“make sure to include the benefits of your products and services in your intro, but what’s the point of touting benefits until you know if the other person is in need of them. Instead of talking about the benefits you provide, why not take time to find out what they are looking for? Then you will be able to offer a solution to a problem not a slick sales pitch”

This is very good advice but only to a certain extent . . . . .

as it assumes you’re using social media sites for your marketing such as Facebook and Twitter, as people don’t want to be sold to in these instances. Therefore it’s best to take a softly, softly approach because if you come on as a sales person you will lose your prospect’s attention very quickly and they will just switch off.

Business Blogs are different though . . . . . and the reason why is this . . . .

There are many, many qualified buyers on the internet that are actively searching for products and services just like the one’s you have to offer.

They want to be sold to and they want to become your customers and clients.

They don’t want to be mucked around while you “take time to find out what they are looking for”. They already know what they want and they want you to get straight to the point and tell them the benefits of your product or service as quickly and precisely as you possibly can.

This is the beauty of the Business Blog. Unlike social media you aren’t confronted with an audience that may or may not be interested in what you have to offer . . . . . . .

and the reason why is this . . . .

You have the ability to set up your blog in a manner that actively goes out into the big wide world of the internet and target clients and customers that actually want to pay for what you have.

In other words you get to connect with prospects that want and most importantly are actively searching for what you have to offer . . . . .

And here’s the best bit . . . . .

You can target prospects on a local level, you can target prospects on a national level or you can target prospects internationally. Basically, whatever the area is you service, you can target it.

So now you find you don’t have to bother with “tyre kickers”. You are now dealing with prospects. So now it comes down to you explaining the benefits and then giving the prospect enough reasons to become your customer or client.

But why is a Business Blog better than a Business Website, I here you say?

Well it’s simple really. The search engines favour blogs over websites in their search engine results. This is a widely accepted fact among the internet fraternity and so what you will find is it’s much easier to rank higher with a blog that a website which ultimately means . . . . .

significantly more targeted traffic (prospects) to your site.

But how do I get onto page 1 of Google anyway when there is just much competition, I hear you say ?

Well the simple facts of the matter are these . . . . .

  • Very few small to medium businesses use Business Blogs anyway, so straight off, if you do use a blog you have an advantage,
  • of the businesses that do use blogs, the vast majority don’t know how to use them to get more clients or even attract more prospects, so if you know how, you’re now at an even bigger advantage,
  • plus there are still loads of keywords that are still very easy rank for in the search engines, so if you know how to find them and target them you are now at a massive advantage,
  • and finally the vast, vast majority of business blogs on the internet today, here in Australia, make one very fatal mistake right from the very start when they set up their blog. It is an error that is costly and holds back the client pulling power of their blogs significantly.

So now you can imagine, knowing how to set up your business blog correctly right from the start can make the difference between your blog sending you loads of customers and clients or the whole exercise simply being a big fat waste of time.

Therefore if you like to find out how you can use your Business Blog to it’s full potential to get you more new clients and customers than ever before, then contact us today.
